Christmas arrives in January For KMC

Christmas 2017 has already arrived for Kidderminster Male Choir in that they have they have suspended any further December 2017 bookings due to the number of performances already agreed.

December 2016 was probably the busiest pre-Christmas in the choir’s recent history and the follow on is that most of the concerts during that period have been re-booked.

It is a testament to the exceptional talent within the choir in that have we taken the unusual step, with regard to December 2017, but also that most months in 2017 have at least one concert booking with a number of others, although not confirmed, at the negotiation stage.

2016 saw the choir welcome a new Principal Accompanist.

Tony Bridgewater took over from Maureen Bowkett, who had held the post brilliantly for many years.

It was a sad day when Maureen decided to retire but in Tony we have found a star of the keyboard and we look forward to him delighting, not only the choir, but our audiences for many years to come.

In a very short period Tony has built a brilliant understanding with our outstanding principal Musical Director David Barclay and his exceptional deputy Steve Singleton and Tony is superbly supported by Margaret Tillott as Deputy Accompanist.

There is no doubt, in these four professional musicians, the choir has brilliant musical leadership which, with the wonderful dedication and singing talent of all the choristers, will take KMC to new heights of choral excellence.

Although having taken the decision over December 2017 and that other months have concerts already booked we still have dates available so if you would like, one of the UK’s most sought after choirs, please use the “Contact Us” Tab above for more        Information  Thankyou.
