 A Word from Chairman Robin

The Choir finally got on its latest overseas tour with a trip to Germany in August. Based in Rudesheim on the Rhine they enjoyed a week of singing , sightseeing and savoring the local food wine.
Stephen & Keith had earlier visited the area and this enabled them to enjoy a well planned program of activities. It was loaded with  river cruises, castles, concerts and even a distillery tour which needed little encouragement .
During there stay the 19 Choristers along with several wives and partners had time to enjoy each others company whilst Our daily programs unfolded.
One of the highlights was a joint concert with a ladies choir in Dachfranhousen , a small town near Rudesheim. Here they sang to a full church along side the ladies and the local brass band. After this much merriment took place in the local hall sampling local wine and cakes.
A trip such as this always has stories to tell which can last in the memory for years. The best way to hear them of course is to become one of those Choristers and savoir at first hand. If they told you the stories you wouldn’t believe them.

In its 114 year history Kidderminster Male Choir has never recorded a Christmas Album.
Well now they have!
Considering that Pete Waterman, the music producer, has joined the choir as President we thought we better get our fingers out.
The result is ‘Joy to the world’ a CD of 24 songs for Christmas. At only £5 it is the festive bargain of the year.
Get your copy now from ‘The Men in Red’. Merry Christmas from Kiddrminster Male Choir.
Obtainable from any choir member, or click on the link below for more information.

Our Guests on the 19th October

The Holy Prince Lazar Choir

We are a small mixed acapella choir consisting of sopranos, altos, tenors and bass. We are a friendly group of singers rehearsing every Thursday in the church from 7 pm to 9.30 pm. Our singers are between 18 and 70 years old and have different levels of experience.

Our current conductor is Dragana Zebić. She graduated from Belgrade Faculty of Music with a BA degree in Vocal and Operatic performance (studying as a soprano). Dragana has performed across the Balkans and in several Belgrade churches.

Our welcoming choir perform in a variety of venues but our primary purpose is to sing the Holy Liturgy in Lazarica once a month and on major Orthodox Church days such as Easter and Christmas. We mainly sing spiritual music. We also perform sacred vocal music from other religions as well as different kinds of secular music.
