Kidderminster Male Choir is pleased to announce

that plans are forging ahead to Tour Germany in 2019

  Hereford & Worcester Radio.

Our thanks to Lizzie Lane (Producer)

for including Our rendition of

“The Bewdley Carol”.

Our Concert Secretary would like to say

Firstly, the choir goes from strength to strength and, as you will see from the front page of the web site, KMC was recently acknowledged by the Mayor of Kidderminster, Councillor Nicky Gale, with the presentation of the inaugural Kidderminster Mayor’s Certificate for Outstanding Achievement.

The choir is extremely proud of this award as, not only does it recognise the charitable work, the standard of performance but also how the choir acts as an ambassador for Kidderminster where ever it travels to throughout the world.

Also, the award pays tribute to all those wonderful and dedicated choristers who have played an integral part of the 114 years of Kidderminster Male Choir success.

However, there is one group of very important people, who deserve as much praise as the choir itself.

The wives, partners, ex choristers and friends.

Without these fantastic people who help organise publicity, sell tickets for the concerts, organise fund raising raffles and then provide the auditorium staff as box office, programme and raffle ticket sellers, stewards and many more tasks our concerts would never happen and KMC would probably never exist.

So, to all you ladies and gentlemen, a massive thank you.

In July we are off to what is rightly described as the ‘The Land of Song’ Wales.

Llangollen International Eisteddfod is the venue and we are taking our International Award-Winning choir into the Principality just to show the Welsh they don’t have the monopoly when it comes to great Male Voice Choirs.

I must add, before I get banned from crossing the border, Wales has some fantastic choirs, also.

While we are on the subject of travel.

KMC is off on tour to the Rhineland in 2019 which should be a great tour to an amazingly beautiful part of the world.

Closer to home we have many concerts planned throughout the rest of the year with more to come and we would love to see you.

keep an eye on the concert list on this web-site.

A group of men singing in a room is just that, a group of men singing, give them an audience and it becomes a concert.

So, to you our audience an unreserved thank you.

Tony and David with the Award.

The AWARD winning Kidderminster choir has been presented with another prestigious honour .

The inaugural Kidderminster Mayoral Certificate for Outstanding Achievement is to be handed to Kidderminster Male Choir (KMC) by the town’s civic leader Councillor Nicky Gale.

The new award instituted by Councillor Gale will be in the gift of successive Kidderminster Mayor’s and will be awarded annually.

‘The choir, which is in its 114 year, has been an integral part of the history of Kidderminster and all of the choir are justly proud that the Mayor has chosen KMC to be the first recipient of the very special award.

“KMC has grown, over the years, to be a tour de force in the world of male choirs and has been instrumental in moving forward the popularity of choir singing in the area’.

‘This was never more so than the setting up of the brilliant Kidderminster Valentines Ladies Choir who this year celebrate their 30 years anniversary with a joint concert with KMC at the Town Hall on Saturday April 28.”
